Round Robin Task Assignment for Asana

When new work lands in a shared project, someone usually has to decide who picks it up, and that triage is slow and uneven. Astogi's Round Robin integration assigns each new task to the next team member in rotation automatically, so workload is shared fairly and nothing sits unassigned.

Asana Round Robin Assignment for Asana

How it works

Enable the integration on a project and Astogi cycles through the project's members in order. Each time a new task is created it is assigned to the next person in the rotation, then the cycle continues, giving everyone an even share of incoming work without any manual hand-off.

  • New tasks are assigned the moment they are created
  • Workload is balanced evenly across the team
  • No more manual triage or tasks left unassigned
  • Ideal for support queues, intake forms and shared backlogs
  • Asana user: round-robin@asana.astogi.com

How to set it up

  1. Open the Asana project where tasks should be distributed.
  2. Invite the Asana user round-robin@asana.astogi.com to the project.
  3. Make sure the people who should receive tasks are members of the project.
  4. Create a task and Astogi assigns it to the next person in the rotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I control who is in the rotation?

Yes. The rotation is based on the members of the project, so you decide who takes part by managing project membership.

What about tasks that need a specific owner?

Round robin only assigns newly created tasks; you can always reassign a task manually afterwards.
